The annual fundraiser has become one of the football club’s most lucrative events with this year’s edition bringing in close to £2,000 for future projects.

On an evening of fun and frolics at the Motherwell United Services Club, a glamorous array of wives, mothers, sisters, aunts and daughters gathered to celebrate the women associated with all things Villa Park.

Comedian Carrie Jones once again oversaw festivities that included a music quiz and dance off, Irish Bingo, and a game of Pass the Pot so competitive that a number of Villa Park players would have done well to take note.

Following the raffle of some generously-donated prizes, Club Treasurer – and the driving force behind Ladies Night – Marie Millar took to the stage to pay tribute to the many volunteers that give up their time to run 13 different age groups.

She ended by thanking new board member Jillian Clark and 2018 treasurer Laura Carty for their efforts in helping to organise this year's event, hinting that the baton may be passed on to the pair permanently were she to step back from the role in the future.

No pressure, ladies.
